Today I met George. He is 80 years old and first thing he said to me that the owner of the Laundromat i was photographing is a Russian spy. I said that I am a Russian as well and that is how our conversation started. He is 80 years old and for the last 50 years he lived in Astoria. He asked me a lot of questions about communism and Stalin. Also he was very interested in Putin. For the last picture i asked him to move to the wall to take a shot and he raised his hands like he was surrendering. I asked why he did it, the answer was : "That's what your people do, put people to the wall and shoot them." I wished him a good day and kept walking.
